2014 Update

At the moment I’m all about plaits! They’re my new favourite hairstyle, now my hair is long enough to weave in to a decent one.

That’s the biggest news since my last post, my hair is now long. Haven’t had it this long since I was a child, probably six or seven. I cut it as I had chewing gum in my hair.. Oh the joys of youth.
That moves me on to another point, my nan has trawled through her sideboard in the living room, and discovered some old photos of me. Three school photos: year two, seven and eleven; my prom photo and one when I was little at four.

Cornwall Through My Eyes

I returned home late last night from the lovely Cornwall! The weather was so-so, but there were frequent opportunities for snaps (sunshine)! I have uploaded my favourite photos below, so please enjoy my take on Cornwall:

I do have one minor bug-bear about the West Country however, the soft water affects the taste of tea. So it was coffee mostly for me.

On the positive note I will look back and reflect on the holiday as one full of fresh air, lots of walks, drives and overindulging in Cornish pasties, fish and chips, cream teas and fudge!

As well as quality time spent with my Nan:

Technical difficulties hehe đŸ˜‰

No I’ll be nice. Looking cool in those shades and windswept đŸ™‚

Saturday Naughty Indulgences

Nan and I visited Southend high street, we stopped for a bit of lunch at Patisserie Valerie for tea and cake.

Whilst eating this a-mazing cake, it felt like it was called Death By Chocolate.

Nan somehow managed to finish all of her cake but I was honestly defeated around half way through!

Yum!

Chai Latte

This is my new obsession / favourite drink at the moment. It’s a lovely blend of spice and sweetness and a bit creamy when you add milk! Also there is no need to add sugar.. This is the vanilla one, you can also buy one in ‘spiced’ or spice (I can’t remember now). One of my friends has that one and it’s also very nice, you can really taste the cinnamon.

I first tried this when I ate at our local Sainsbury’s cafe; on a side note I had their chicken mulligatawny soup which was amazing too. This trip was quite a while ago, where as I bought this tub I guess you would call it, a couple of nights ago. I think it was under three pounds which isn’t so bad really, its instructions tell you to use three spoonfuls which isn’t too bad considering a lot of hot chocolates ask for several heaped spoonfuls. So hopefully this pot / tub will last quite a while.

I had it twice today at work (soo yummy) and I will have some now for my evening drink. Another bonus is that it says it is 99% caffeine free!
