Day Out with my Sister

On Saturday I hung out with my sister, we had a nice girly day. We started by getting our nails done at a local nail salon. I had a spontaneous inspiration of gold nails when I saw a nice polish colour. Unfortunately, they couldn’t get the polish bottle open, so I picked a nice colour in the shellacs. I went for what I thought was a dark gold, pinky colour. Maybe I am not remembering it correctly. It has shown itself in polish to be a bronze pink, with a coral shimmer in the light. Here is a photo below:

I think it is a lovely autumn colour!

My sister was going to a wedding in the evening and wanted to get nails that matched her dress. She eventually picked a glittery light pink, so cute. We then drove to Lakeside shopping centre. I had recently been to an airport where they had a Wagamama’s, and since then I have fancied some Japanese food. So my sister agreed to eat at Wagamama’s! It was delicious. My sister ordered the chicken ramen and I ordered the duck ramen. I wanted to try something new, I have only started eating duck in the last two or three years and previously I have ordered the chicken ramen and chicken katsu curry. We both ordered their green tea, which was amazing. I was a bit apprehensive as when I have tried the green tea at Yo! Sushi, their tea is rather strong and bitter. A pleasant surprise. We also went mildly wild and ordered one of their juices. My sister ordered the apple, celery, mint and lime one, which apparently tasted of mostly lime. I tried the blueberry spice, it had blueberries, apple, carrot and ginger. It was quite tasty, though I didn’t taste enough blueberries, and I felt healthier and more energetic after drinking it. We then looked at the dessert menu, feeling relatively full! The ramen is quite a large portion! Despite all the options sounding delicious, we opted for the origini. They were rice balls coated in coconut, deep fried and served with a passion fruit sauce. Lovely!

I only took a photo of our main meals.

Since we were in Lakeside, I wanted to try a Pumpkin Spice Latte in Starbucks. Instead, we found Hotel Chocolat on the way and I spent a fair amount of money. On presents for other people, might I add!

Feeling quite inspired, hence the occurrence of posts.
